Start with something real

Choose a useful question, a specific observation or a visual worth looking at. Avoid a dramatic promise the piece cannot deliver. A recognisable point of view is more valuable than a generic pattern interrupt.

Design the first frame

Check the image at phone size. Can someone understand the subject before reading the caption? Keep text short enough to read and give subtitles room. A strong cover and a strong opening do different jobs; design both.

Deliver the substance

If the opening asks a question, answer it. If it promises a process, show the steps. Let the pace serve understanding rather than cutting every moment to the same rhythm.

Choose an honest next step

Ask for a response that fits the piece: save the guide, read the detail or start a conversation. Measure the quality of that response, not just the number of views.
